Deggi Daaj International Festival
Casa África, the Spanish Embassy in Senegal and Aula Cervantes of Dakar support the presence of the Spaniard Aïda Colmenero at the Deggi DAAJ International Festival, one of the most important festivals in West Africa, a framework that merges together the most contemporary dance and music.
It will take place from 1st to 21st June in Senegal and is an international festival of percussion and dance that brings together local artists with international artists. It has the sponsorship and collaboration of Doudou Ndiaye Rose, living legend of the Senegalese musical heritage.
Aïda, along with the entire team of percussionists of traditional and western music, will carry out rehearsals open to the Dakar public, training courses and different performances in the city during the festival. The show offered will mix traditional Senegalese percussion, percussion from international drums, contemporary dance, traditional Senegalese dance and belly dancing.
