Casa África presents the peoples' messages of condolences on the Mandela's death to South Africa's ambassador in Spain

The South African ambassador in Spain, Fikile Magubane, this afternoon collected the peoples' condolences on Nelson Mandela's death at Casa África's headquarters. The institution's general director, Santiago Martinez-Caro, gave the representative of the South African people in Spain the book of condolences that has collected the testimonies of affection of over 200 Spanish citizens since 9th December at Casa África and a selection of other 200 messages of condolence received by the institution through social networks. The South African ambassador in Spain together with Casa Africa's general director and the Canary Islands Government Deputy Representative, Luis Molina were present at this ceremony of handover and tribute.

The Ambassador Magubane expressed her gratitude, during this event when the book was handed over, for the recognition that has been given to "our most illustrious son, the world's most admired hero" and pointed out that the book of condolences received with over 200 signatures of citizens who passed through Casa Africa, "is evidence that Mandela not only belongs to South Africa, but to the entire world."

The Ambassador said that she would personally ensure that the book received today "is handed over to Madiba's family" and who said that "his legacy will remain forever with South Africans and will continue being an inspiration to all who believe that we can build a better horizon for future generations."
