Casa África's Sahel Hall yesterday hosted the photo exhibition Moments of Africa Walking, a collection of thirty pictures taken by Eduardo J. Castro Rodriguez which try to reflect moments and sensations of the Africa Walking educational project. The exhibition opened to the public yesterday afternoon and is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m to 6.30 p.m., with free admission, until the 30th April.
Africa Walking is an educational programme, created by Cristóbal Núñez Rodríguez and aimed at young people aged 16 to 17 years old. It was created in 2009 and has allowed each year thereafter, different groups of young people from the Canary Islands to get to know neighbouring African countries (Morocco, Senegal and Cape Verde) and embrace bonds of friendship, understanding and cooperation between the Canary Islands and Africa . The aim of this programme is to promote the values of coexistence, respectful approach to other realities and multiculturalism.
