Florent Couao-Zotti

Her writings give a voice to those who have been excluded, and she explores the darkest and most desperate aspects of the current society in Benin.

Born in Pobé (Benin) in 1964, she completed a degree in Philology in 1988 at the University of Benin. Professor, journalist and screenwriter for comics, this heterogeneous author has written books, short stories and plays. In 1997, she was awarded the Prix dExcellence de la Loterie Nationale du Bénin.

She currently works as a literature professor in Cotonou and as a cultural advisor. Cultivating Africanisms, puns and mixed language tones, Florent Couao-Zotti displays true verbal creativity.
