ICHCA analyses in Ghana, the new port challenges with eight other African countries and Gran Canaria

Casa África's Director General, Luis Padrón, attended yesterday the opening of the General Assembly of the Canary Islands Africa Regional Section of the International Cargo Handling Coordination Association  (ICHCA), which is held until 30th October in Tema (Ghana).

Luis Ibarra, president of the Port Authority of Las Palmas, was responsible for opening  the meeting. This year's edition is organised by the Ports of Las Palmas Foundation and the Ghana Port and Harbours Authority.

During his visit to the country, Luis Padron will meet with various representatives of Ghanaian think tanks . This shall be Vera Jawol and Felicia Addy, of the African Youth Panel, and Samuel Nii Noi Ashong of the Centre for Policy Analysis, two of the African think tanks which will be attending  1st Africa-Spain Think Tanks Meeting to be held on 5th and 6th November 6 at Casa África.

Casa África's Director General attended yesterday the Spanish Embassy in Ghana, an institution which has collaborated with the organisation of the 1st Africa-Spain Think Tanks Meeting. There he met with the Deputy Head, Rodrigo Reyero, with whom he discussed the programming activities of the institution of public diplomacy, exploring possible avenues of collaboration for the forthcoming year.
