Casa África yesterday hosted the presentation of the book 3052. Persiguiendo un sueño, by Mamadou Dia. It is an initiative of Looking for Development Asesores y Consultores, a company dedicated to cultural management related to Africa, in collaboration with the Federation of African Associations of the Canary Islands (FAAC) and Casa África.

3052 refers to the kilometres between Senegal, the country where Mamadou Dia was born and Murcia, the city that took him in. The book is an autobiography in which Dia recounts his experience since arriving by boat at La Gomera and until his return to his native Senegal and a testimony of personal achievement representing migration and its impact on a personal and collective level. it comes from the notes that the author took throughout the trip and during his early years in Spain and is part of a cooperation project focused on education of the youngest trying to help improve the conditions that made Dia migrate, like thousands of Africans.
