Germán Santana Pérez es profesor de la Universidad de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. Imparte Historia Moderna y parte del Máster de Relaciones Hispano Africanas y su área de investigación aborda la historia de Canarias y África y la historia comparativa entre las islas del Atlántico, incluidas la Macaronesia, los archipiélagos africanos y el Caribe. Su investigación actual se centra en la relación entre el Caribe y las islas Canarias y los contactos entre España y África.

Germán Santana Pérez is a professor at the University of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. He teaches Modern History and part of the Masters Degree in Hispano-African Relations and his research tackles Canarian and African history, and comparative history between the Atlantic islands, including Macaronesia, the African archipelagos, and the Caribbean. His current research is focused on the relations between the Caribbean and the Canary Islands, and the relations between Spain and Africa.
