Boubakar Diallo

This Burkinese producer founded his own production company (Les Films du Dromadaire) in 2005.

He was born in 1963 in Burkina Faso. Diallo began working as a journalist, and he created a satirical newspaper known as Journal du Jeudi. He is the author of two police novels, a collection of short stories, and a number of scripts.

In 2004 he directed Traque à Ouaga, which was extremely successful in Burkina Faso. He then founded his own production company (Les Films du Dromadaire) in order to shoot films using video, with the subsequent savings, because he was convinced that African films should reduce production costs and avoid loans.

His filmography includes the following films and documentaries: Traque à Ouaga (2004), Dossier brûlant (2005), Code phénix (2005), L'or des Younga (2006), Serie noire à Koulbi (2006), Mogo-Puissant (2007), Sam-le-caïd (2008) and Coeur de Lion (2008).
