Casa África presents a literary project tomorrow on Spanish history in Morocco

18/12/2013

Professors Victor Morales Lezcano and Francisco Quintana Navarro will be responsible for presenting tomorrow, Thursday, at 8 p.m., at Casa África's headquarters the literary project entitled The Spanish protectorate in Morocco: the transcended story. This is a publication that appears to mark the centenary of the establishment of the Spanish protectorate in Morocco and with funding from Iberdrola :  three volumes which bring together more than fifty quotes, including those from writers, scholars, historians and jurists. This publication's aim is to demonstrate the relevance that, after years have passed, the existence of the protectorate has had in relations between Spain and Morocco and discover the traces which still survive of these shared years.

The Spanish protectorate in Morocco: the transcended story is a project directed by Manuel Reyes Aragon, with editing and coordinating by Manuel Gahete Jurado, in collaboration with Benlabbah Fatiha. The editorial coordination is by Montse Barbé Capdevila. The Transcended Story Project aims to be a reference publication as a compendium of what was the Spanish protectorate in Morocco, offering a collection of papers, articles, texts and contributions aimed at both the general reader as well as the researcher interested in this period of Spanish-Moroccan history.
