In Casa África: Cape Verde, Senegal and Mauritania describe their health sectors.

06/04/2017

Today, Casa África hosted an institutional meeting for the Spanish health sector with Cape Verde, Senegal and Mauritania. The meeting served to establish contacts and propose future projects between the governments of Spain and the Canary Islands with the Ministries of Health of the three African countries. At the same time, within the framework of economic diplomacy, the presence of the three African countries allowed private investors to learn about the potential of the health sector in Africa, which faces enormous challenges in the short/medium term.

The meeting’s opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Health and Social Security of Cape Verde, Arlindo do Rosário; the Director General of Economic Relations with Africa of the Government of the Canary Islands, Pablo Martín-Carbajal; and the Secretary General of Casa África, Arianne Hernández.

This activity, with which Proexca and Binter have collaborated, is part of the CONFIAFRICA project which is part of the INTERREG MAC 2014-2020 programme and is co-funded by the ERDF Regional Development Fund.
