Casa África brings tenders from the African Development Bank to Santiago de Compostela and Zaragoza

Casa África organised an information day on tenders and projects of the African Development Bank (AfDB) in Zaragoza (Thursday 18th April) and Santiago de Compostela (Friday 19th April). The workshops were held in collaboration with the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Aragon (CREA) and the Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Galicia (CEG) respectively. Both days  were attended by the Spanish adviser for the AfDB, Manuel Delacampagne, and Casa África's head of the Department for Economics and Business, Ico Sanchez-Pinto. On the Galician day, the person responsible for Private Sector Operations (Services and Industries) from AfDB, Fernando Rodrigues took part, and spoke of the specific experience of the Grupo Puentes in Africa, with an exhibition on it by the company's recruitment director, Luis García Vegazo.

The African Development Bank (AfDB) is a multinational development bank set up in 1964 and is made up from all African countries and 24 more member shareholders, among which is Spain. It is considered the most important public financial institution in Africa which annually awards loans totalling between 5,000 and 6,000 million dollars.

The fields that the AfDB focuses on are especially energy, transport, information technology and communications, oil and gas, mining, industry, agribusiness, tourism, education and health and the financial sector.

Casa África is working with the AfDB on the informative work sessions on its tenders in Spain, with publications and other activities.
