Our mission is to bring Africa and Spain closer
Through outreach, educational, economic, and cultural activities, we foster mutual understanding and strengthen Hispanic African relations.
From November 30th through December 3rd, the 7th Euro-American Campus for Cultural Cooperation will take place in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. This initiative has been promoted for nearly 15 years by the Interarts Foundation, which believes that the Campus brings together people from the world of international cooperation and culture, whose projects and institutions may coincide in this space, interact, and strengthen their relations.
In this 7th edition of the Euro-American Campus, the hope is to create a bridge with the African continent, not only because of the geographic location of the Canarian archipelago, but also because aside from presenting the events of the 1st Euro-African Campus for Cultural Cooperation (Maputo-Mozambique, June 2009), professionals of African origin will also be present, including Joy Mboya (Artistic Interventions and Public Space in Africa) and Olu Alake (Building Populations and New Identities Locally).
The first estimates expect the city to bring together more than 200 participants from America, Europe, and for the first time in the Campus´ history, Africa. Additionally, taking advantage of Antonio Aragón´s presence, Casa África will support the presentation of the project titled Muñecos por el Desarrollo (Puppets for Development).
