Mesa Redonda y reuniones con el Organismo Multilateral de Garantías para Inversiones (MIGA) del Grupo Banco Mundial

Within the strategy of the Advisory Council for the Promotion of Trade with West Africa (CAPCAO) and on the occasion of the visit to Spain of Edith Quintrell, Operations Director of the Multilateral Investment Guarantees Agency (MIGA) from the World Bank group, and a delegation of industry experts from her team, ICEX Spain Export and Investment, in collaboration with PROEXCA, the Chamber of Commerce of Gran Canaria and Casa África, and with the support of Economic and Commercial Office of the Embassy of Spain in Washington, organise this Round Table that will be held on 8th February 2013 at Casa África's headquarters (C/. Alfonso XIII, 5. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria).

This activity has a dual purpose:

• On the one hand, make known all the products offered by MIGA (Multilateral Investment Guarantee Agency)
• On the other hand, establish bilateral contacts with potential Spanish customers in their priority sectors: Infrastructures, Agribusiness, Telecommunications, Energy, Financial Markets, Tourism, Water and Light Industry and Manufacturing.

MIGA's field of action is at a world level, however on this mission, the interest is in identifying projects and operations of regions in Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and Latin America to be able to offer its products and services.

As well as the main technical session, we hope to give an added value to companies by offering them the opportunity of maintaining bilateral meetings with experts of the World Bank Group. This way the companies will be able to present first hand the projects and operations suitable to be supported by MIGA.

This meeting will be developed according to the following programme:

• 8:45a.m. Welcome of the participants
• 9:00a.m. Round Table: Multi-lateral Investment Guarantee Agency (MIGA) of the World Bank Group.
• 10:30a.m. Round of Interviews of companies with MIGA representatives

Those  companies who wish to maintain individual interviews with the MIGA representatives should send  this form before the 29th January to raparicio@comercio.mineco.es with a copy to silvia.liano@icex.es and financiacion.multilateral@icex.es specifying the matter: MIGA Round Table - Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 8th February.

It is obligatory to complete the form and mark the town of preference to be able to take part in the meetings, and this will facilitate the prioritisation and selection of companies, which will be carried out by the MIGA delegation. After this step, the companies will receive a detailed programme.
