Festival MiradasDoc
MiradasDoc is an International Documentary Film Festival which gives preference to cinema that is produced or filmed in third-world countries and developing nations. Once again this year Casa África supports this important film festival, which will take place in Guía de Isora (Tenerife) from the 29th of October to the 6th of November.
80 feature films and short films will be shown during the festival, of which 15 have been filmed in the African continent.
MiradasDOC includes a film homage to Samba Sarr, the young Senegalese film maker who died recently. Of his own film collection, his latest documentary titled Or vert du Saloum will be shown. There will also be a section outside of the contest titled Focus Níger, in which 6 documentaries about the country in the Sahel region will be shown.
