Celebración del Día Nacional de Nigeria

Fulfilling one of its lines of action, Casa África supports the celebration of the National Days for African nations, with a special connotation this year because of the commemoration of fifty years of independence for 17 African countries.

For this reason, on October 1, the date on which Nigeria became independent from the United Kingdom, a series of commemorative events organised by the nation´s embassy in Spain will be held in Madrid for this important anniversary.

Among the events that will be held, there will be a symposium on African independences. It will take place at the Residence of the Nigerian Ambassador in Spain from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and it will include the participation of:

• Amb. Obed Wadzani, Ambassador of Nigeria in Spain.

• Ricardo Martínez, General Director of Casa África.

• Joe Illoh, President of the Federation of Nigerians in Spain.

• Representative of Nigerian Students in Spain.

After the symposium, there will be a gala with various festivities. It will begin at 10:00 pm in Fuenlabrada (Madrid). This gala is co-organised by the Federation of Nigerians in Spain and the Nigerian Embassy in Spain, and it is open to all Nigerians.
