Telas de luz. Exposición de la colección de arte africano contemporáneo de la Galería Saro León

As part of the exhibition programme at its headquarters, Casa África this time collaborates with the Saro León Gallery so as to display a contemporary African art collection  which has been made up over the years and which has very important artwork from the international art scene.

The Saro León contemporary art gallery was founded in 1988 so as to act as a meeting point and platform for artists from the Canary Islands together with other national and international artists.

Spanning over 20 years, nowadays the gallery is a reference among all the Spanish galleries and takes part in some of the most important international art fairs such as ARCOMadrid, FIAC in Paris or the Cologne Fair among others.

The Saro León Gallery also stands out because it wants to go beyond the traditional idea of an art gallery to become a live and active space. A meeting point for the public and creators, where a vast programme of parallel activities takes place, such as presentations, talks, round tables, performances, concerts, etc.

The contemporary African art exhibition belonging to this gallery, which Casa África brings to its headquarters, can be visited from the 29th November 2012 to the 1st March 2013 from 10am to 6pm.
