Exposición fotográfica: Etiopeople

Casa África supports this photography exhibit titled 'Etiopeople', which may be visited at the Casa de la Cultura de Santa María de Guía (Gran Canaria) from March 15th through April 15th.

The project is an exhibit with 74 photographs of Ethiopian ethnic groups and tribes, primarily portraits, which were taken by the photographers Alicia Rodríguez and Alfredo Betancor in the months of September and October 2010, during a 23-day journey through the country, specifically the region around the Omo River, where most of the Ethiopian tribes reside and whose portraits comprise most of the exhibit.

The beauty of these images brings a piece of Ethiopia to the Canary Islands.  Ethiopia has a size similar to that of Spain and France combined, with a population of approximately 85 million people, making it one of the most populated nations in Africa, with the corresponding cultural wealth.
