Mutale Nkonde es una periodista e investigadora zambiana experta en humanidades digitales e inteligencia artificial. Estudió en la Universidad Metropolitana de Leeds, donde se graduó en Sociología. También obtuvo un máster en Estudios Americanos en la Escuela Graduada de Artes y Ciencias de Columbia y es doctoranda en Humanidades Digitales en la Universidad de Cambridge. Además, recibió un premio New York Emmy Award por su trabajo como periodista abordando el tema del reconocimiento facial y fundó la organización AI for the People con el objetivo de reducir el sesgo algorítmico.

Mutale Nkonde is a Zambian journalist and researcher, expert in digital humanities and artificial intelligence. She studied Sociology at Leeds Metropolitan University. She also earned a M.A. in American Studies from the Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and is pursuing a PhD in Digital Humanities at the University of Cambridge. Additionally, she received a New York Emmy Award for her work as a journalist covering facial recognition and she is the founder of the AI for the People organization, which works towards reducing algorithmic bias.
