Masdanza 2020. Convocatoria abierta

The Department of Culture of the San Bartolomé de Tirajana Town Council is pleased to announce the XIX Solo Contest within 25MASDANZA, THE INTERNATIONAL CONTEMPORARY DANCE FESTIVAL OF THE CANARY ISLANDS, which will be held in Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Spain.

The Solo and Choreography Contests of 25MASDANZA will take place on the following dates:

• Solo Contest: Thursday, October 15, 2020
• Choreography Contest: Friday, October 16, 2020
• Awards Ceremony & Winners’ Gala: Saturday, October 17, 2020
• The Extensions of MASDANZA will take place from October 18 to 26 October, 2020.

PRIZES

• Prize of the Solo Contest: 2.000 Euros
• Audience Prize: 1.000 Euros
• Prize for the most outstanding dancer *: 1.000 Euros
• THE ACORÁN Award (from the Canarian Artistic Community)*: 1.000 Euros
• Artistic Residencies:
• La Gomera Choreography Center Artistic Residency
• International Artistic Residency at the Auditorium of Tenerife
• SIT Artistic Residency, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.
• The Running Up The Hill Experiment Artistic Residency – Festival Danza Urbana. (Bologna, Italy).
• Tour of The Canary Islands, within the inter-island Extensions Tour of MASDANZA.

*These prizes are valid for the Choreography Contest as well as for the Solo Contest.
