This poet, playwright, university professor and journalist was born in Botswana on 27 April 1957. He is a founding member of the Botswana Writers´ Association and of the Botswana University, to which he has been tied as a reader in the Humanities Department and as a professor in the English Department.

He has also worked in radio and as a columnist for several newspapers. Through the years, he has founded and edited various magazines and newspapers, including: Marang, Mokwadi, Mahube and Rays of Culture.

His list of published books include Images of the Sun (1986), Screams and Pleas (1992), Lovesongs (1994), Windsongs of the Kgalagdi (1995), Botswana Cultural Directory (1995), Botswana Poetry Anthology (2002) and Lighting the Fire - Literature Anthology for Secondary Schools (2003).
