The new technological tools for the dissemination of knowledge are the focus of Casa África's librarianship meeting

The president of FESABIB, Margarita Taladriz, will this Monday 16th September, officially open at 10.00 a.m., the 5th Librarianship Meeting "Culture and Networks" to be held throughout the day at Casa África. For the second consecutive year, this meeting is held as part of and with the collaboration of SILA (International African Book Fair), an initiative that has always received this institution's support and will again be held at Casa África's headquarters. The conference will focus on innovation applied to the management and dissemination of knowledge, with new ideas, platforms, applications and tools to optimise the resources of libraries and documentation centres and help the value generated by its services to be better communicated to society and in the reality of the cooperation field to develop libraries in countries such as Cape Verde and Senegal, in which experiences are shared that help foster synergies, projects and work networks with Spanish institutions and, above all, generate knowledge and break down stereotypes.

Along with Margarita Taladriz, those attending will be able to listen to Antonio Morales, director of the Public Library of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria; Catuxa Seoane, coordinator of the Municipal Library System of  A Coruña; Carlos Campa, expert librarian in marketing for libraries representing Ebscohost; Joaquim Morais, president of the National and Book Library of Cape Verde; José Ignacio Sánchez and Alonso de Villapadierna, in charge of the Aula Cervantes of Dakar since 2009; María Araceli García Martín, head of the Hispanic Library Department of AECID, and Josefina Bueno Alonso, creator in 2010 of the African Library at the University of Alicante.
