I am an architect and cultural heritage specialist with a PhD in Architecture, Building, Urbanism and Landscape from the Polytechnic University of Valencia. I am currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the School of Architecture at Nelson Mandela University in South Africa, where I am part of the Indigenous Knowledge Systems of the Built Environment Unit (IKSBEU).
My work addresses the conservation and revitalization of vernacular and intangible heritage, particularly in Indigenous territories of the Amazon, integrating academic research with creative practices such as photography, audiovisual media, and design as tools for documentation and awareness.
I have conducted research stays in Germany at the Ibero-American Institute of Berlin and at several universities in Ecuador, strengthening both the theoretical and fieldwork foundations of my research. Passionate about safeguarding indigenous knowledge, I collaborate with communities to develop respectful, inclusive, and locally grounded approaches to heritage, sustainability, and the promotion of cultural memory.
