Exposición: Reloj de arena negra. África en la colección del CAAM

This exhibit, which was inaugurated on Friday, May 13th at 20:00 at the Casa África building, presents the collection of works by contemporary African artists that belong to the Centro Atlántico de Arte Moderno (CAAM). This collection has come together throughout the years thanks to the work of creators who have participated in temporary exhibits with which the CAAM has confirmed its constant interest in the neighbouring continent.

Reloj de arena negra (Black Sand Watch) also strengthens the city of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria´s candidacy as the 2016 European Culture City, and like all the exhibits that Casa África hosts in its building, it can be visited at no cost from Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 20:00, with the possibility of requesting free guided visits for groups.

This CAAM collection of African art will coexist at the Casa África headquarters with the La piel de África (Africa´s Skin) exhibit, consisting of photographs that cover the institution´s windows.
