VII Concurso Fotográfico 'Objetivo África': Los mercados en África

Casa África announces the VII Photography Contest Objetivo África ("Africa Focus") which will award prizes for the photographs which best portray the positive aspects of markets in Africa, this year's theme. The bustling souks of Morocco, the seemingly endless Makola market in Accra, and the Pan African Market in Cape Town which sells handicrafts from all over the continent are just some examples of the market as a place for meeting, trade and development and as a source of thousands of stories worth telling.

Any person of legal age can take part in the competition.

The VII Photography Contest Objetivo África is in search of the photographs that best portray African markets and the stories that they tell, reinforcing the positive aspects of the African continent, the images that don’t usually appear in traditional media.

Photographs can be entered for the competition from 17 October to 12 December 2016. Each contestant can take part with a maximum of five (5) photographs. For this, you should send them by email to redes.sociales@casafrica.es. The photographs should be in JPEG or PNG format with an appropriate resolution and size of between 1.5MB and 5 MB.

The photographs may not be older than fifteen years when they are submitted, and should not have received an award in any other contest.

Each image could obtain one of the following prizes:

1. First prize: 800 €
2. Second and third prize: 200 € each one
