Casa África's director general, Luis Padron, participated as a panellist, yesterday Wednesday, at the first table of the international conference on Atlantic Initiative for Tourism which ends tomorrow and organised by the Ministry of Tourism of the Kingdom of Morocco and the World Organization Tourism (WTO).

The panel in which Padrón intervened focused on the development of air and sea transport to strengthen tourism between the two shores of the Atlantic Ocean. It was moderated by Dirk Glaesser, director of the Development Programme for Sustainable Tourism of the WTO, and also included Abdoulaye Diouf Sarr, Minister of Tourism and Air Transport of Senegal; Redouane Belardi, secretary general of the Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Logistics of Morocco and Abderrafie Zouiten, director general of the National Tourist Office of Morocco.

The participation of Casa África in this forum was possible thanks to the collaboration of Binter, the airline that connects the Canary Islands with a dozen African destinations.

The Atlantic Initiative for Tourism establishes the signing of a draft document, the Declaration of Rabat, in addition to strengthening collaboration between countries on both sides of the Atlantic and sharing experiences in tourism, understood as a vehicle for closer ties between the peoples and civilisations.
