The University of Valencia, through the Patronat Sud-Nord, presented the first edition of the Manuel Castillo Award on international cooperation and the culture of peace. The audiobook Mi nombre es nadie. El viaje más antiguo del mundo (My Name Is Nobody. The Oldest Trip in the World), by journalists Carla Fibla and Nicolás Castellano, won the award in the best journalistic work category. Casa África participated in the publishing of Mi nombre es nadie, which was officially presented at its seat in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in July 2008.

With a prologue by Sami Naïr, the publication consists of 4 CDs with 30 reports on the routes immigrants take to the rich nations. The immigrants themselves, the authentic leading players in this work, give extensive testimonies. Besides a complete transcription of the reports, the audiobook has a prominent contribution by prestigious photographer Juan Medina and diverse texts by international experts in the migration phenomenon.
