The group´s aim is to coordinate the actions of the institutions dedicated to promoting business in Africa.

Organised by the Canarian Government´s public company for promoting exports, PROEXCA, the Cooperation and Business Development in Africa (CDEA, Cooperación y Desarrollo Empresarial en África) work group met yesterday morning at Casa África. The meeting was attended by representatives from the autonomous agencies for internationalising Spanish companies, the ICEX, the National Council of Chambers of Commerce and the AfricaInfoMarket Internet portal.

In this second meeting since its founding, the group addressed various options for coordinating the actions carried out by the entities and to analyse specific formulas that will make it possible to share resources. The objective for 2011 is to create a joint action plan that will serve as the focus for guiding the actions carried out in Africa by these institutions.

The CDEA work group was created this year in the heart of the Inter-Territory Internationalisation Council, which brings together the various economic agents that participate in promoting Spanish commercial activities and investments abroad.
