7th Euro-African Police Conference on irregular immigration

From 16th to 18th October 2012
VII Conferencia Policial Euro-Africana sobre inmigración irregular

From the 16th to the 18th October 2012, as part of the West Sahel Project, co-funded by the European Commission (Europe-Aid) and by Spain, the Civil Guard's  Cooperation Secretariat organise in the Canary Islands the 7th Euro-African Police Conference, which like last year will count with Casa África's participation.

This event's 7th edition hopes to focus on the objective that all participating countries and organisations are working towards: strengthening the collaboration and dialogue in the fight against irregular immigration, a phenomenon that causes the loss of many lives and is always linked to real human dramas.

As in previous editions, it is anticipated to be attended by senior representatives of gendarmerie and police forces who deal with the fight against illegal immigration, both in Europe and in Africa, as well as EU and international organisations who are also related to this subject.

Casa África collaborates with a conference on Brand Spain and public diplomacy with the Assistant Director-General for Public Diplomacy from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, T. Luis Melgar, and is moderated by its General Director, Santiago Martínez-Caro, in a panel regarding migratory flows inside the African continent.
