Casa África and the Círculo de Bellas Artes (CBA) of Madrid have co-organised an African musical film season that will be shown June 22 to 27 at the headquarters of the Madrid organisation, located at Calle Alcalá 42.

Forming part of the CBA´s Noches Bárbaras activities, the films will provide a glimpse of African identities and music, from the jazz musician Wandel Soumah, passing through the calypso rhythms from the island of Trinidad, to the life of the legendary singer and guitar player Malí Ali Farka Touré. In summary, African Musical Film aims to offer viewers an in-depth vision of the neighbouring continent and its imposing melodies.

Admission to the seven films, which will be shown on different days and times for greater convenience, will be completely free for all viewings.
