The Federation of African Associations in the Canary Islands (FAAC) is an organisation that aims to promote, guide and stimulate activities that foster relations and cultural/socio-economic development between the Community in the Canary Islands and the African Continent.

In support of this, and in collaboration with Casa África and the City Council of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, the FAAC is organising this Fifth Cultural and Culinary Event. With the theme “Education and new challenges”, they have put together a complete programme of activities for the 2017 event, including lectures by valued speakers on the current situation in Africa, as well as recreational, cultural and sporting activities that combine what the FAAC means for the African community living in the Canary Islands: commitment, solidarity and above all the love of culture and the need to share it with others.

The event programme covers three days and includes a Series of lectures in Casa África, Culinary and cultural events in Santa Catalina Park and, of course, music, including:

    • John Naya Band
    • Tralla Canalla
