The África.ES exhibit project is part of the Arte inVisible (Invisible Art) programme that has been carried out by AECID (Agencia Española de Cooperación Internacional al Desarrollo, Spanish Agency of International Cooperation for Development) for several years.

África.es focuses on the vision of several African photographers of various urban spaces in Spain that have been selected for this purpose. The project consists of brining seven African artists to Spain, assigning each to a Spanish city so that they may convey their own vision and reflection, without any type of thematic limitations, of what the cities speak to them through spaces, people, situations, etc.

As a result of their work, there will be a group exhibit with the pieces that have been selected from each of the artists, which will be displayed from February 15th to March 15th at the Círculo de Bellas Artes de Madrid (C/ Alcalá, 42).

These photographers had the opportunity to work in the cities assigned in order to show them using their own perspective and artistic awareness. These are not descriptive photocoverages of each city, but rather each city is addressed simply as a work setting where the creativity of each photographer is allowed to flow.
