Beyond Copenhagen: Environmental Sustainability and Development in Asia and Africa

27 de mayo de 2010

Casa Asia and Casa África have organised an advanced forum about environmental sustainability that will review African and Asian positions regarding the debates generated at the United Nations Climate Change Convention in Copenhagen, and fundamentally, in light of the upcoming convention which will take place in Cancun at the end of this year.

The Asian and African speakers will also present the main multilateral sustainable development programmes regarding energy matters, the role of renewable energies as a tool for transferring low carbon technology, and internationalisation possibilities for Spanish companies of this sector in the two continents.

The seminar will serve as a framework for presenting the joint publication titled Climate Change and Renewable Energy in Asia and Africa, which covers the conclusions from the international meetings held in November of 2009 and included the participation of more than thirty global leaders, institutional representatives, experts of recognised prestige, and representatives from the corporate world.
